Sinner vs. Djokovic Head-to-Head Record

Sinner holds a narrow 6-5 lead in the head-to-head against Djokovic. However, it was the Serbian who won in five sets when they met at the Australian Open earlier this year. Sinner defeated Djokovic in straight sets en route to the Wimbledon title last year and has won five of their last six matches.

Even so, Djokovic will take confidence from having beaten Sinner twice in their three matches at Wimbledon.

The 39-year-old has had to do it the hard way in his quest for an eighth Wimbledon title. He has been taken to at least four sets in all but one of his matches at the All England Club this year.

Djokovic also faced a grueling quarterfinal against Auger-Aliassime but rolled back the years to prevail in a nail-biting five-set clash.

Sinner was taken to five sets in his Wimbledon opener against Miomir Kecmanović and hasn't dropped a set since. However, he has certainly not looked as comfortable as the results suggest.

Sinner vs. Djokovic Prediction and Pick

After looking unbeatable for much of the Sunshine Swing and the clay-court swing, some chinks in Sinner's armor are finally starting to show up. Djokovic will believe that he can exploit some of the defending champion's frailties, especially with temperatures set to be in the high 80s for their match.

Sinner has also yet to play a seeded opponent at Wimbledon, and it remains to be seen whether he is battle-tested enough for a match of this magnitude.

That being said, Djokovic is coming off a five-hour battle against Auger-Aliassime, and it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his level for what is likely to be another tough battle against the World No. 1.

Sinner will undoubtedly be the fresher of the two. But there aren't many players in the history of tennis who can perform better on grass courts than Djokovic, even at age 39.

However, this match could well come down to how much Djokovic has left in the tank. We believe that if Sinner can get on top early, it could be very difficult for the veteran to recover. We are backing the Italian to prevail, but only just.
