2026 Big Ten Tournament Central/Bracket

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- No. 3 Ohio State (27-3, 12-1 B1G) enters the 2026 Big Ten Tournament Thursday as the No. 2 seed. The Buckeyes will face off against the winner of the Wednesday match between No. 7 seed Michigan (13-9, 8-5 B1G) and No. 10 Nebraska (11-13, 3-10 B1G) at 6 p.m. Thursday at Libbey Park in Ojai, California.

The tournament will run through Saturday where the championship match will take place at 8 p.m.

Ohio State is coming off clinching a share of its 20th-consecutive Big Ten regular-season title with a 4-1 win over Wisconsin last Friday and a 4-0 sweep over Nebraska Sunday.

The Buckeyes have won the Big Ten Tournament a total of 17 times and have been champions 15 times since 2001. Ohio State owned a span of six-consecutive Big Ten Tournament victories from 2006-11 and four-consecutive championships from 2016-2019.

The last time the Buckeyes won the tournament was in 2024 where they defeated Penn State, Nebraska and Michigan on their way to the championship.

Ohio State owns the longest Big Ten win streak with 10-consecutive conference wins, they also own 13-consecutive total victories with eight sweeps in that span.

The Buckeyes have defeated every team in the Big Ten Tournament besides Michigan State where they suffered a 4-3 loss at Ty Tucker Tennis Center.

Against nationally-ranked opponents, Ohio State is 14-3. In home matches, Ohio State is 16-1, on the road they're 9-1 and at a neutral site they're 2-1.

In singles, Nikita Filin has won 13-consecutive matches and owns an 11-0 undefeated record against Big Ten competition. Filin is 5-0 on court four and 8-0 on court five this season.

All three double pairs (Filin/Carpico, Bernard/Okonkwo, Kim/Nakashima) are 9-1 in their past 10 matches, including an eight-game win streak for Aiden Kim and Bryce Nakashima and a six-consecutive wins for Nikita Filin and Brandon Carpico.

The Buckeyes are 38-5 against Michigan since Ty Tucker became head coach in 2000, they currently hold a 10-game win streak over the Wolverines including a 4-0 sweep at Ty Tucker Tennis Center earlier this season. Ohio State has never lost to Nebraska. The Buckeyes own an 18-0 record against the Cornhuskers and the Buckeyes have outscored Nebraska 99-8 in the 18 matches.

Six Buckeyes landed on the leaderboard in the latest ITA singles rankings. Aidan Kim is the highest Buckeye at No. 12 followed by Jack Anthrop at No. 29, Preston Stearns at No. 30, Alex Okonkwo at No. 43, Nikita Filin at No. 85 and Bryce Nakashima reentering the rankings at No. 118.

Three Ohio State pairs are ranked in the latest ITA doubles rankings with Brandon Carpico and Filin leading the way at No. 5, Alexander Bernard and Okonkwo at No. 39 and Kim and Nakashima at No. 53.
