The summer window has stepped up another gear as as Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool all work on getting huge deals wrapped up. Arsenal are expected to accelerate their interest in Bruno Guimaraes after the midfielder told Newcastle he wanted to leave. The Gunners could spend close to £200m on Guimaraes and priority target Morgan Rogers, while Bradley Barcola will cost around £130m. Former Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier is set to join on a free transfer after passing his medical.

Manchester United have agreed a £50m fee with Chelsea for Andrey Santos as Ederson flies in for a medical following Brazil’s early World Cup exit. Alex Scott was linked with a move to Old Trafford, but now Chelsea could reinvest the Santos money into signing the Bournemouth star. Maxence Lacroix and Pep Chavarria remain in talks with the Blues.

Tottenham are ready to splash the cash again, despite already spending over £230million, with a move for Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, who could cost close to £100m. Rafael Leao has also been linked. Liverpool are working on a replacement for Mohamed Salah, with Crysencio Summerville the latest forward linked. Villa to do 'everything' to stop Arsenal signing star

Aston Villa are to do everything in their power to stop Arsenal signing Ezri Konsa, according to Football Insider.

The outlet claims that the Villans do not want to lose the centre-back, and are willing to make life very difficult for the Gunners if and when negotiations take place.

Arsenal eyeing World Cup star amid Spurs interest

Arsenal are interested in Norway star Antonio Nusa, who has shone at this year’s World Cup.

The RB Leipzig man is also being courted by Tottenham, with the 21-year-old valued at around €50million and €60m.

Newcastle, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are also interested in the forward.

Juve continue Martinez pursuit

Juventus have held talks with Emiliano Martinez's representatives as they continue their pursuit of the Argentine, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The goalkeeper has already reached an agreement in principle on a three-year deal in Turin. Aston Villa are demanding around €10million for their No1, with the Old Lady currently unwilling to pay that much.

Palace reach Mingueza agreement

Crystal Palace are set to sign Oscar Mingueza, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Spaniard is a free agent after leaving Celta Vigo, and is able to play at both centre-back and right-back.

Man Utd, Liverpool rival Barca for wonderkid

Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United are among the clubs interested in signing Colorado Rapids defender Lucas Herrington, Teamtalk claims.

The 18-year-old defender impressed for Australia at the World Cup, and he play his club football for Colorado Rapids.

The MLS club are believed to be open to selling the centre-back, and he could stay in the United States on loan for the season before making his move official.

Fabinho wants Real move

Fabinho is open to joining Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, Talksport claim.

The former Liverpool midfielder left Al Ittihad on a free this summer and is believed to be spending the summer in the Spanish capital after Brazil’s World Cup defeat by Norway.

The Brazilian has admitted he would welcome the chance to return to the Bernabeu, but it is thought that Los Blancos are not currently pursuing a deal as it stands.

ICYMI: Derry set for Sporting loan

Jesse Derry is close to sealing a season-long loan move to Sporting after signing a new long-term contract at Chelsea.

Standard Sport understands that Derry, who made his Premier League debut for the Blues last season, has signed fresh terms until 2032, just a year after joining the club from Crystal Palace.

Adeyemi set for Barca move

Karim Adeyemi has agreed personal terms with Barcelona, according to widespread reports.

The Borussia Dortmund winger wants to make the move to La Liga this summer, with his contract at the Bundesliga club expiring next year.

The German is now the subject of direct club-to-club negotiations between Dortmund and Barca, with Hansi Flick hoping to land the forward.

It has been a relatively quiet start to the transfer window for Arsenal, writes Matt Verri.

Piero Hincapie's loan move has been made permanent as expected and Illan Meslier is set to join on a free transfer to become Arsenal’s third-choice goalkeeper, but otherwise there has been little in the way of either new faces or significant departures.

That is no surprise in a World Cup summer and will certainly change in the weeks ahead, with Arsenal set to be active in the window.

Despite the lack of substantial business so far, Andrea Berta's tactic of casting the net wide before narrowing down his top targets means that speculation has not been in short supply.

Bruno Guimaraes is the latest to be linked with a move to north London this summer.

Arsenal have enquired about his availability and initial talks with the player's representatives have been held.

While Newcastle have insisted the midfielder is not available, it has been claimed that the Gunners proposed at least one offer worth around £55million during positive talks with

Standard Sport understands there has still been no official approach, and no direct club-to-club talks, but Arsenal’s interest is clear and a concrete bid is expected after Guimaraes informed Newcastle of his wish to leave.
