It’s been a largely quiet Swans crowd for much of the game so far, but it’s deafening here now after Chad Warner’s scrambled goal put them within one point.

Isaac Heeney’s goal soon after to put them in the lead would have lifted the roof clean off if there was one.

The Swans were 33 points down at one stage, and they are now in front in the third quarter. What a brilliant game this is. Drama.

The Swans have surged into the lead after back-to-back goals from Chad Warner and Isaac Heeney.

The Swans kept pumping the ball forward and finally Chad Warner stuck his leg out and kicked it off the ground for a goal.

Heeney took a mark and goaled from 50m out.

“The question is whether Collingwood has anything left,” Dunstall said on Kayo Sports.

Sydney have kicked six of the eight goals this term.

Swans 65, Pies 60 with two mins to go in Q3.

Logan McDonald and Justin McInerney have just kicked two goals in less than a minute, both stemming from the all-important centre clearance, and suddenly the Swans are soaring again.

No lead seems safe against Sydney, and this is why. They’re only 10 points in arrears now, just over six minutes left in the third.

Will Hayes has had a few near misses in this match, but he’s kept on presenting himself, and he just won the ball on the ground and snapped a crucial goal.

That’s two in a row again for the Magpies. Over to you, Swannies.

Pies 60, Swans 38 with eight mins to go in Q3.

Tom Papley has had a rough night until now, but he just found space to snap a goal and whip the SCG crowd into a frenzy.

Papley also went for a run to find Magpies hard man Brayden Maynard and give him a spray following the goal.

But the Magpies have kicked a goal from the centre clearance, with Dan McStay running onto a bouncing ball and shinning it into goal.

This game is firing up.

Pies 54, Swans 38 with nine mins to go in Q3.

Magpies big man Oscar Steene had his left knee buckle on him as he worked his way into a marking contest.

He’s been helped off the ground and these are concerning scenes. With Grundy running amok in this second half, Steene was the player they could least afford to lose. Fingers crossed he’s OK.

The Magpies, yet again, are not getting rewards on the scoreboard for their efforts up the ground as they have scored eight consecutive behinds, including two missed shots at goal in recent plays.

We will see if the big Magpie can return, but it looks unlikely.

Pies 48, Swans 32 with 11 mins to go in Q3.

Swans star Nick Blakey has kicked a thumping, running goal to cut Collingwood’s lead to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Swans ruckman (and former Pies star) Brodie Grundy looks the player most likely to lead a Sydney comeback as the Pies are struggling to subdue their former big man.

Grundy had a snap for goal just go across the face in the early moments of the third term.

“[At] every stoppage he looks dangerous – especially in the forward 50,” Australian Football Hall of Fame Legend Jason Dunstall said on Kayo Sports.

Pies 45, Swans 31 with 18 mins to go in Q3.

Up here in Darwin for the Gold Coast v Port game, which has been pretty entertaining.

The Suns simply have been more efficient to this point, early in the second quarter, booting 5.2 to 3.5. Christian Petracca has been active, as has Touk Miller and Gold Coast’s runners from half-back, Daniel Rioli and John Noble.

Zak Butters has been effective. Jason Horne-Francis has had seven touches but hasn’t yet made the impact he’s capable of. Lachie Weller just off with a hammy for those with either a Suns’ interest or have him in their fantasy team.
