The Government of Ghana has secured broadcast rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, ensuring that football fans across the country will be able to watch the tournament live on selected media platforms.Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, disclosed this during the presentation of a GH¢5 million donation from GCB Bank towards the Black Stars fundraising campaign.According to the Minister, support from government together with contributions from corporate institutions and fundraising initiatives played a key role in securing the television rights for the global football showpiece.“Through the support of government and fundraising efforts, we have been able to secure broadcast rights to telecast the World Cup matches live on some of the media stations,” Kofi Adams stated.The GH¢5 million contribution from GCB Bank forms part of ongoing efforts to mobilise financial support for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.Government earlier launched a fundraising initiative aimed at encouraging corporate Ghana and other stakeholders to support the national team as preparations intensify for the tournament.Meanwhile, watch highlights from the opening ceremony of the 2026 African Senior Athletics ChampionshipPAH/JE
