Cricket: Rain the winner as three Wellington games succumb to weather

It was the wettest of wet days for Wellington CC last Saturday when not one ball was bowled across the three games that were scheduled, writes David Derrick.

The visit of Bridgwater's second XI in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League to play the first XI, the second XI's journey to Winscombe in Division One of the Somerset League, and the third XI's never-undertaken travel to Huntspill and District's second XI in Division Seven South of the Somerset League saw cancellations recorded for all teams.

Allocations of six, 12, and 12 points were recorded as a result.

As a result, positions of third, ninth, and third are maintained.
