Elina Svitolina and Iga Swiatek did not do much in the grass season. They are bouncing back on hardcourts in this WTA Toronto showcase. Now one of them will be in the final for a chance at 1,000 points and an upward move in the WTA Tour rankings. Svitolina and Swiatek have both won six of their last seven sets. They have won two of their last three matches in straight sets, and won the other in three sets. Swiatek is the clear betting-market favorite because she looked especially impressive in the quarterfinals against Diana Shnaider and beat a very tough player, Marta Kostyuk, in the Round of 16. Is Iga Swiatek ready to return to the top of women’s tennis? If she posts a dominant win here, more people will think it’s possible.

Best Bet to Make

Swiatek might win, but Svitolina is playing solid tennis and figures to put up a good fight. Svitolina just has to win one set for you to get a good return on your standalone wager. You could also think about betting over 2.5 sets, but with Svitolina +1.5 sets, you’re not relying on Swiatek to do anything; you’re relying on just one player. You’re not depending on two players. Over 2.5 sets would require both players winning at least one set. This is a simpler bet and therefore the better one to make.

That being said, betting on Svitolina +1.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Gauff – Rybakina: 20:30 EST

These players have met only once on tour, which is hard to believe since they have both won multiple Major championships and are both in the top five of the WTA rankings. They finally meet again. Rybakina was down a set and 4-2 to Naomi Osaka and looked like she was done. Instead, Rybakina rallied for a dramatic three-set win, her best and biggest match victory since January, when she lifted a trophy at the Australian Open. Has Rybakina rediscovered the right way to play, or was her victory over Osaka more about her opponent not being able to finish the job?

Best Bet to Make

Rybakina beat Osaka, and we did tell you to take Osaka on the moneyline, but Osaka was up a set and a break. We still don’t fully trust Rybakina because she was outplayed for much of the match against Osaka. We think Gauff, playing in North America, is going to be very comfortable on the court. Also, if the match goes three sets, Gauff is the best three-set player on the WTA Tour in 2026. You could go for over 2.5 sets in this match, just as much as you could make that your main bet in the Svitolina-Swiatek match. However, we are convinced Gauff will find a way to win here. That being said, betting on Gauff winning is a value bet for sure.
