RawalPindiz batter Yasir Khan has revealed that he spent an entire year living at Mohammad Rizwan’s home in Peshawar, where the former Pakistan captain personally worked on improving his batting. The hard-hitting top-order batter shared the detail after his impressive knock against Peshawar Zalmi, where he scored 83 runs off 46 balls.Speaking about his development, Yasir said he approached Rizwan after the previous Pakistan Super League (PSL) season to discuss his batting, and the wicketkeeper-batter responded by inviting him to stay and train with him.According to Yasir, he remained at Rizwan’s house for a year and trained regularly in long batting sessions that lasted three to four hours, often split into two parts during the day. He said the work he put in during that period is now starting to show in his performances. The RawalPindiz batter added that the improvement was visible in his first-class cricket and later in the National T20 tournament, and he is now fully focused on carrying that momentum into the PSL. He said Rizwan’s guidance and the time spent working closely with him have played a major role in his recent progress.Yasir also spoke about his ambitions, saying every cricketer wants to deliver for his team and help it win titles. He said he wants to play his part in making RawalPindiz champions and believes his domestic record shows he has been performing consistently, even if a national team call-up has not yet come his way.He admitted that players do sometimes wonder why opportunities do not arrive sooner, but said he believes selection comes with timing and fate. Yasir said that when the right moment arrives, the path will open on its own.Commenting on the dressing-room environment, he said RawalPindiz have built a healthy team culture where senior and junior players back each other, creating a strong and supportive atmosphere within the squad.
