WATCH: Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal react to Spain’s 2026 FIFA World Cup win

Tennis fans may have been thinking about two of our favorite Spaniards as Team Spain won the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Sunday, July 19.

Alcaraz was in the stadium, watching the game live. He also was part of the trophy unveiling beforehand.

Nadal was watching it elsewhere, presumably at home in Spain.

Alcaraz reaction

The biggest surprise is that Alcaraz is not wearing a Spanish jersey, but we suspect we will see him in one very soon.

He does not have much time to relish in this big win. Alcaraz is training for his highly anticipated return to the ATP Tour at the Cincinnati Open beginning August 8.

Nadal reaction

The retired Nadal, a lifelong soccer fan, looks as intense as a spectator as he was as a tennis player.

Before the game, he reminisced about Spain’s last win in 2010. He said he was living in South Africa at that time and enjoyed being present for it.
