The stands at Hong Kong’s 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium transformed into a sea of sky blue on Friday night, as thousands of passionate supporters turned out for Manchester City’s open training session on the eve of Saturday's highly anticipated battle for the official Asahi Super Dry Trophy.

Premier League powerhouse City will go head-to-head with Serie A giants Inter Milan for a trophy in a world-class showdown seen by many as an epic rematch of the 2023 UEFA Champions League final.

Marking City’s first return to Hong Kong since 2019 and a major stop on Inter’s Asian pre-season tour, local supporters were poised for an unforgettable night. Even with star striker Erling Haaland and midfielders Rodri and Rayan Cherki absent from the lineup, fans still brought unwavering enthusiasm to the venue.

The headline match is part of the Hong Kong Football Festival, which continues on Wednesday with a clash between 2025 Club World Cup champions Chelsea and legendary Italian club Juventus.
