Slater c&b Worrall 9 (Notts 18-2 v Surrey)

The champions are in a spot of bother now as Dan Worrall strikes again...

Ben Slater drives back down the pitch at Worrall, who gets down quickly and makes the grab with both hands.

Both Notts openers gone now as Joe Clarke comes out to join Ben Duckett.

Lancs 29-1 v Middlesex

Lancashire are making progress after that early wicket, with Keaton Jennings pulling a leg-stump delivery from Toby Roland-Jones over the rope for the first six of the game.

Roland-Jones has started with a good rhythm so far, but that shot dents his bowling figures somewhat. Jennings has scored 17 of the home side's total, with Josh Bohannon on two.

Somerset 38-1 v Glamorgan

Josh Thomas catches a Timm van der Gugten delivery sweetly back down the ground, but partner Tom Lammonby can't get out the way quick enough and takes one to the head.

No harm done, and Lammonby responds brilliantly by pulling the first ball of the next over for four.

Somerset 34-1 v Glamorgan

Josh Thomas doing his best to steady the ship for Somerset after watching fellow opener James Rew head back to the dressing room early.

A couple of boundaries - one off Tom Norton and one off Timm van der Gugten - push the visitors on.

Notts 16-1 v Surrey

Ben Duckett had a difficult winter against Australian bowlers, but he's off the mark now with a leg-side single off Dan Worrall.

It's the only run Worrall has given away in his first four overs. Ben Slater, at the other end, has scored eight as Notts look to rebuild after the loss of Haseeb Hameed.

Prest b Cook 4 (Essex v Hants 15-2)

Tom Prest works his first ball for four backward of point.

But two balls later is cleaned up!

Another full length ball from Cook that nips back, this time between bat and pad to cart over off stump.

Sussex v Leics 19-0

Feels like a big week for Ollie Robinson.

He revealed that England head coach Brendon McCullum has told him he’s back on the table for a recall and has been tipped in a few quarters to lead England’s attack again.

11 wickets at 28 so far this season isn’t screaming from the cliffs to be selected. He also struggled to make any impression on a good pitch at The Oval, taking 1 for 99 in a heavy defeat.

But he’s seemingly in favour again, with England managing director Rob Key impressed by his performance against Warwickshire.

Three overs for 11 runs so far today after Sussex chose to bowl at Hove.

Hameed c Pope b Worrall 7 (Notts 15-1 v Surrey)

Dan Worrall makes the breakthrough as Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed is caught at second slip!

Worrall has been relentless with that nagging line outside off stump and Hameed played and missed at a few - but this one finds the edge and Ollie Pope gobbles up the catch.

Three overs, three maidens and one wicket for the Surrey seamer and that brings Ben Duckett to the crease.

Yates c Bairstow b Cliff 7 (Warwickshire 15-2 v Yorkshire)

Less than 20 minutes on the clock and both Bears openers are back in the changing rooms.

Yorkshire's decision to bowl is proving a good one as Ben Cliff takes their second wicket with Rob Yates edging behind to Jonny Bairstow.

Post

Essex v Hants 7-0

Essex choosing to field on what feels like a decent morning to be bowling.

Jamie Porter and Sam Cook with the new ball.

Nick Gubbins - just one half-century this season - and Toby Albert - playing his third match - opening up for Hants.

Post

Notts 15-0 v Surrey

Lovely line by Dan Worrall, who's begun his comeback with two maidens and getting the odd ball to leave the right-hander.

Despite that, a solid start from Haseeb Hameed and Ben Slater, who have seven and eight respectively after Notts were put in to bat.

WICKET

Rew b van der Gugten 4 (Somerset 5-1 v Glamorgan)

A fine start for the hosts! Timm van der Gugten gets through James Rew and takes out off stump!

It was a gamble to move the wicket keeper up to open on a pitch like this, and it hasn't paid off.

Tom Lammonby is out from the dressing room earlier than he would have been expecting.

WICKET

Balderson lbw b Higgins 8 (Lancs 9-1 v Middlesex)

Middlesex won the toss and have sent their hosts in - which looks like a good decision as Ryan Higgins strikes in the second over!

George Balderson is trapped in front and that brings Josh Bohannon to the middle to join Keaton Jennings.

WICKET

Davies c Lyth b White 4 (Warwickshire 7-1 v Yorkshire)

First wicket of the day - what a start for Yorkshire!

The visitors strike with the fifth ball of the morning.

Jack White, who has been bowling well this season, is the man who ensures Alex Davies' stint at the crease is a short one.

Yorkshire clearly have a plan with four slips in place and it works like a charm as Davies edges to the man in second slip Adam Lyth.
