Nepal clinches 8-wicket win over UAE

Nepal secured an 8-wicket win over UAE in the second T20I cricket match held as part of the UAE tour of Nepal in Kirtipur today.

Chasing the 129-run target set by UAE, Nepal reached it in 15.5 overs losing 2 wickets.

Kushal Bhurtel topped the score with 84 runs including 11 fours and 2 sixes off 57 balls. Similarly, Kushal Malla scored 19 runs while Dipendra Singh Airee notched up 23 runs. Santosh Yadav contributed 1 run.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday, UAE notched up 128 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Akshdeep Nath topped the score with 53 runs including 3 fours and 4 sixes off 42 deliveries followed by Muhammad Arfan with 32 runs. Adeeb Usmani contributed 30 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.

In reply, Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed the highest 3 wickets followed by Hemant Dhami with 2 wickets while Shahab Alam and Nandan Yadav grabbed 1 wicket each for Nepal.
