Meanwhile, England football legend David Beckham joined the squad during a training session in Miami, receiving a warm welcome from the team ahead of their World Cup campaign. The official England football team account posted a picture of Beckham with Kane on X, stating, “England legend Sir David Beckham joins us at training this afternoon in Miami. Good to see you, Sir David!”

Norway secured their place in the quarter-finals after defeating five-time world champions Brazil 2-1 in the Round of 16, marking one of the tournament’s biggest upsets. During the match against Brazil, Haaland scored twice, bringing his tally to seven goals. This made him the joint record holder for most goals by a player in their debut FIFA World Cup since Poland’s Grzegorz Lato scored seven in 1974.

England have reached their 11th FIFA World Cup quarter-final, surpassed only by Brazil with 15 appearances and Germany with 14 at this stage.

In their recent match, Mexico conceded three goals at the Azteca Stadium for the first time since August 1999, when they lost 4-3 to Brazil.
