You can now, quite literally, walk in Steph Curry’s shoes. The Golden State Warriors star is auctioning off 70 pairs of his own sneakers this month in a dedicated online sale at Sotheby’s.More from Robb ReportThis White-Stucco Villa Near Austin Channels the Airy Charm of the Greek IslesThe C8 Corvette Has Been Hit With a Stop-Sale OrderMaker's Mark Just Dropped the First New Bourbon in Its Wood Finishing Series for 2026The point guard famously announced in November 2025 that he was no longer tied to a specific athletic wear brand, wrapping up a 13-year partnership with Under Armour and giving him “sneaker free agency” to wear whatever kicks he wanted on and off the court. He quickly capitalized on this newfound freedom, rocking a new pair of trainers in nearly every game of the remaining season. Each highly curated footwear moment ignited buzz in both the sports world and sneaker community.“I’ve always believed that every pair of sneakers tells a story,” Curry said in a statement. “This collection really captures a unique chapter for me during my sneaker free agency this season.”Curry’s selections expanded beyond the realm of basketball, with the 38-year-old sporting everything from a tennis shoe made for Roger Federer (pictured below) to a pair of retro Air Jordans designed for the street. He made statements with the shoes, too, wearing Reebok Shaqnosis in Orlando as an homage to Shaquille O’Neal or the Nike Sabrina 3 in front of Sabrina Ionescu as a tribute to the WNBA, for example.“From the tunnel walks to the on-court warm-ups to the games across the country, I was excited to spend this time shining a light on players over the years who have left their mark on the sneaker game,” Curry adds.He may have even used them to ruffle feathers. He turned up to play the Utah Jazz in the same Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” sneakers that Michael Jordan famously wore to play against the team in the 1997 NBA Finals, with many speculating he was trolling them with the shoes. The 70 sneakers on offer span multiple brands across North America, Europe, and Asia, from industry giants like Nike, Adidas, Anta, and Reebok to boutique labels such as Li-Ning. All have been personally worn by Curry during tunnel walks, warm-ups, and/or games. One highlight is the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “CHBL” sneakers, which are presented in a China-exclusive colorway tied to Nike’s China High School Basketball League. Curry wore them as he scored 48 points against the Portland Trail Blazers, eclipsing Michael Jordan to set the record for the most 40-plus point games by a player over 30 in NBA history. The signed kicks are expected to fetch between $30,000 and $50,000.Another standout is the aforementioned Nike Sabrina 3 runners, which Curry donned in two consecutive games this past January. He has put a custom spin on Ionescu’s signature model, opting for a fully custom “By You” colorway and adding his number “30” to the heel alongside his mantra “ICDAT” (I Can Do All Things) and initials “WSC.” They are also expected to hammer down for between $30,000 and $50,000.Each pair will be sold individually, with proceeds benefiting the Eat. Learn. Play. charity. “Every dollar raised will support Eat. Learn. Play.—the foundation that I co-founded with Ayesha—where we focus on the everyday needs that shape a child’s future with access to food, literacy, and safe places to play and grow,” explains Curry. The online auction will be open for bidding from April 13 to 28.Click here to see more photos of Steph Curry’s sneaker collection.Best of Robb ReportThe 25 Greatest Independent Watchmakers in the WorldThe 10 Most Expensive Watches Sold at Auction in the 21st Century (So Far)11 Stunning Jewelry Moments From the 2020 OscarsSign up for RobbReports's Newsletter.
