Missouri State women's tennis (4-15) is back at home this week to face CUSA opponent New Mexico State. The Bears will also be honoring seniors Billur Gonlusen, Raluca Puscas and Lola Federski in a pre-match senior day celebration.

On Saturday, March 28, the Bears fell to CUSA opponent Sam Houston with a 7-0 scoreline. The Bearkats hit the ground running with a 1-0 lead by taking the doubles point and continued the momentum to win all six singles matches. Senior Billur Gonlusen did not go down without a fight, however, pushing the match to three sets on court No. 2 against Bearkat Anamaria Kurtsikashvili who eventually took the match 2-6, 7-6 (3), 10-3. | Recap

On Sunday, March 29, the Bears lost to No. 43 Houston with a 4-0 scoreline. The Cougars quickly took a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point. The Cougars raced to a 4-0 win by taking out the matches of court one, five and four. | Recap

· Billur Gonlusen - Adana, Türkiye - Competed for the Bears from 2024-26 - Has a current 24-19 singles record at Missouri State

· Raluca Puscas - Chicago, Ill. - Competed for the Bears from 2024-26 - Has won 12 singles matches at Missouri State

· Lola Federski - Braunschweig, Germany - Competed for the Bears from 2024-26 - Has won three singles matches at Missouri State

Team Notes

Matilde Ercoli has won six straight completed singles matches and holds a 9-6 season singles record.

This will be the first-ever match between the Bears and the Aggies.

Missouri State women's tennis begins a new era this season as part of Conference USA.

Head coach Austin Hale is in his second year at the helm of Bears tennis.
