That balance is deliberate; we want the new guys to be exposed to tough conditions, while also benefiting from the leadership and guidance of those who have already played at this level.”Khan will work alongside fellow former Proteas cricketer Mornantau Hayward and Mangaliso Mosehle in the South Africa Under-19 coaching staff.“This tour will give our players a great opportunity to test themselves in foreign conditions. The combination of red and white-ball cricket will challenge the players in different ways,” added Khan.“The four-day matches will give batters time to adapt to swing and seam movement, while bowlers will have the chance to build pressure over longer spells. Since our younger players don’t often get to play first-class cricket, this will be invaluable exposure.”South Africa Under-19 squad for 2026 England tourJason Rowles (captain, Lions)JJ Basson (Lions)Muhammad Bulbulia (Tuskers)Tahseen Hanslo (Lions)Paul James (North West)Michael Kruiskamp (Western Province)Bayanda Majola (Dolphins)Kamogelo Matlala (Easterns)Bandile Mbatha (Dolphins)Riley Miller (Border)Vihan Pretorius (Titans)Nkosana Sibiya (Lions)Ntando Soni (Knights)Joshua van Biljon (Dolphins)Jorich van Schalkwyk (Titans)SA Under-19 managementImraan Khan (head coach)Blanche Conradie (team manager)Ryan Bailey (batting coach)Mornantau Hayward (bowling coach)Mangaliso Mosehle (fielding coach)MJ Sebetlela (physiotherapist)Gareth Ford (strength and conditioning coach)Kyle Southgate (analyst)MORE latest South Africa cricket news
