Liverpool target Ibrahim Mbaye in double PSG raid

Liverpool are plotting a double transfer raid on Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds remain eager to pull off a blockbuster deal for France forward Bradley Barcola, though must first attempt to knock down PSG’s huge £145m asking price.

Liverpool are also interested in signing Barcola’s club team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye.

Per The Times, a move has been explored that would be entirely separate to the pursuit of Barcola.

They say that Senegal international winger Mbaye, 18, would cost up to £43m.

The teenager has also been attracting strong interest from Bayer Leverkusen.

Christian Norgaard leaves Arsenal for Everton

Christian Norgaard’s exit from Arsenal has now been officially confirmed.

The Danish midfielder already appeared surplus to requirements under Mikel Arteta just one year after joining for £15m from Brentford, even before the agreed deal for Bruno Guimaraes.

The Brazilian’s imminent arrival in north London appears to have hastened Norgaard’s expected exit, with Everton announcing his signing last night.

They are believed to have paid around £7m for Norgaard, who has signed a two-year contract on Merseyside.

The 32-year-old made just seven Premier League appearances for Arsenal in their title-winning campaign, 20 across all competitions.

Arsenal plot new Ezri Konsa bid

Away from all the developments regarding Bruno Guimaraes and Vinicius Jr, Arsenal remain in pursuit of Ezri Konsa.

In addition to bolstering in both midfield and attack, the reigning Premier League champions are also in need of defensive reinforcements amid injuries to the likes of William Saliba and Jurrien Timber - as seen by last night’s concerning 3-1 pre-season friendly defeat by Real Betis in Dublin.

Versatile England centre-back Konsa has been a target throughout the summer window so far, with the Daily Mail now reporting that Aston Villa are braced for a new offer from Arsenal after their previous approach fell some way short of a £60m valuation.

Arsenal to learn Vinicius Jr contract decision today

Arsenal are set for another crucial day in terms of their other big summer transfer saga - Vinicius Jr.

Wednesday saw a rollercoaster few hours in the story, with the Brazilian’s representatives holding what many billed as crunch final contract talks with Real Madrid.

There were initial reports that those discussions did not go well, with Arsenal then said to be growing in confidence over what would surely be the most ambitious signing in their history.

However, multiple outlets later reported that Madrid had submitted an improved offer and were now very hopeful of getting a bumper extension finalised.

The BBC said that the LaLiga giants were expecting an answer from Vinicius Jr in hours rather than days, so this whole drama could well be settled today.

Arsenal to announce Bruno Guimaraes deal after medical

Arsenal are poised to announce the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle.

One of the summer’s longest-running and most complicated transfer sagas is finally reaching the end after a deal worth around £75m was finally agreed between the Premier League rivals earlier this week.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Guimaraes passed his medical on Wednesday and an official announcement from Arsenal is expected “soon” following talks between the player and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal deal confirmed after £75m Bruno Guimaraes transfer is agreed

Christian Norgaard has joined Everton, as Arsenal prepare to confirm the signing of Bruno Guimaraes.

Norgaard, who did not feature for the Gunners in their pre-season loss to Real Betis on Wednesday night, departs the Emirates Stadium after just one season and leaves a Premier League winner.

"It feels amazing. I'm so, so happy and pleased to have joined Everton,” the midfielder said.

Vinicius Junior transfer decision 'imminent'

Real Madrid are expecting an imminent response from Vinicius Junior to their contract offer, with Arsenal ready to accelerate their interest.

Upon returning to pre-season training on Monday, the situation regarding the Brazilian’s future has taken centre stage.

Vinicius Junior’s deal with the Spanish giants expires next summer and talks over an extension had stalled for almost a year as the forward holds out for a salary worth around €30million a year.

Following a meeting between the 26-year-old’s representatives and Real Madrid on Wednesday, the Athletic reported that Los Blancos have raised their contract offer to Vinicius Jr.

Crucially, the proposal is said to reflect the Brazilian’s importance to the club and their ongoing sporting project.

This is extremely significant as previous reports claimed the club had no plans to perform a U-turn, standing firm on their latest offer of €22m annually.
