The summer window is stepping up a gear with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool all in talks to wrap up major deals as pre-season begins. Arsenal are pursuing Bruno Guimaraes and Morgan Rogers, with both midfielders equally keen to join. The Newcastle captain is said to have agreed personal terms on a five-year contract, while the progress on Aston Villa star will come after the World Cup. Bradley Barcola will cost £130million, and Christos Tzolis is another target.

Man Utd have pulled the plug on Ederson's move from Atlanta following concerns over his fitness, and could now turn to Manu Kone, Carlos Baleba or Alex Scott, who is also attracting interest from Chelsea and the Gunners. Michael Carrick is also an admirer of Crysencio Summerville. Chelsea are still working on deals for Pep Chavarria and Maxence Lacroix.

Done deal! Man City sign Monga

Manchester City have announced the signing of teenage winger Jeremy Monga from Leicester on a five-year deal.

Monga made his Premier League debut for the Foxes at the age of 15 and has decided to join City despite Arsenal thinking they had wrapped up a deal.

The 17-year-old played 37 times for Leicester and was also the youngest player to start a game for the club.

Monga has joined Enzo Maresca’s side in a deal believed to be £10m with add ons on a contract which will take him through to 2031.

Monga becomes the third English player to join Manchester City this summer following the arrivals of goalkeeper Pierce Charles and record signing Elliot Anderson.

Monga featured for the first time in the top flight as a second-half substitute in Leicester’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in April 2025 under Ruud van Nistelrooy and then made his first start in the Carabao Cup against Huddersfield in August 2025.

The England Under 19 international is also the third-youngest player to ever play in the Premier League behind Arsenal pair Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.

Chelsea make bid for Mexico star Quinones

Chelsea have made an offer to sign Mexico striker Julian Quinones following his impressive performances at the 2026 World Cup.

That’s according to Saudi outlet Asharq Al-Awsat, who report that the 29-year-old recently signed a new contract with Al-Qadsiah at the end of last season.

Quinones became the first Saudi Pro League player to score at a World Cup after netting Mexico's opener against South Africa at the Azteca Stadium.

He also scored against the Czechia, Ecuador and England, after finishing as the Saudi Pro League's top scorer with 33 goals for Al-Qadsiah last season.

Chelsea set eyes on Camavinga swoop

Xabi Alonso wants Chelsea to sign Eduardo Camavinga.

Per reports in Spain, Alonso would make the Frenchman a “key part” of his team.

The report from El Nacional adds that Los Blancos would be willing to listen to offers in the region of €80m (£68m).

The final decision may fall to the player, though, and he could be pushed to depart after Aurelien Tchouameni extended his deal.

Fernandez issues transfer update

Enzo Fernandez says a decision on his future remains on hold until after the World Cup.

The midfielder scored as the world champions came from two goals down to beat Egypt earlier this week.

"I'm not thinking about my future right no," he said. "I'm here living this moment which is incredible for me and we'll see after the World Cup."

Fernandez has made no secret of his interest in leaving the club, with Real Madrid his dream destination.

However, Madrid last week ruled out a move and confirmed there was no interest.

Man Utd set for double announcement today

Manchester United are closing in on the signings of Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow as they look to step up their summer transfer business.

Standard Sport understands that while Man Utd are yet to reach a full agreement for either player, there is an expectation that both deals will be finalised imminently.

As reported earlier in the week, United have agreed to pay Chelsea £48million plus an additional £2m in performance-related add-ons for Brazilian midfielder Santos.

Spurs and Man Utd monitor Gakpo

Tottenham could rival Manchester United for Cody Gakpo if he decides to leave Liverpool this summer.

The Dutchman is under contract at Anfield until 2030 but reports suggest he may look for a move away this summer.

If he does, Ben Jacobs is of the opinion that United could look to bring him in, given they ‘loved’ him before he first joined the Reds in 2023.

While Fabrizio Romano claims Spurs are monitoring the situation.

Arsenal reach Bruno Guimaraes agreement

Arsenal are also believed to have agreed personal terms with Bruno Guimaraes.

The influential Newcastle captain is a key transfer target for Mikel Arteta this summer and his club future looks set to be resolved following Brazil’s shock last-16 exit from the World Cup at the hands of Norway last weekend.

Arsenal have received plenty of encouragement from Guimaraes’ camp regarding a potential transfer, with the Gunners set to formalise their interest as a result - though Newcastle remain adamant at this stage that he will not follow the likes of Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon through the exit door at St James’ Park.

French outlet L’Equipe report that Guimaraes now has an agreement with Arsenal on a five-year contract that would run until 2031.

Paris Saint-Germain are ‘increasingly open’ to selling Bradley Barcola this summer.

Per reports in Spain, they are keen to offload at least one of their many attackers, and the French winger is a leading option to depart.

He has been linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Ederson to Man Utd on?

Hold your horses. Apparently all is not lost regarding Ederson’s move to Manchester United.

After reports last night from Italy that the plug had been pulled on the deal, Man Utd were quick to let it be known that was not the case.

There has been a suggestion that Man Utd think Atalanta are trying to hurry up the process.

Ederson to Man Utd off?

Manchester United have pulled the plug on their deal to sign Ederson.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who reported on Friday evening that the Red Devils would not continue their pursuit of the Atalanta midfielder, who they agreed to sign for £35million.

Standard Sport previously reported that Michael Carrick’s side had agreed a £50m package deal to land Chelsea’s Andrey Santos, who is set to undergo a medical with the Old Trafford club this week.
