Liverpool Agree £110m Deal to Sign PSG Star Bradley Barcola

Liverpool have agreed a £110m deal with Paris Saint-Germain to sign winger Bradley Barcola, according to reports.

The Reds have made a new forward a priority for this summer transfer window after losing legendary winger Mohamed Salah on a free transfer earlier in the window, and new manager Andoni Iraola has been adamant about adding more firepower to the squad.

Spaniard Victor Munoz has already arrived from Osasuna, but Anfield bosses had made France star Barcola their top target, and it is now reported that an agreement in principle has been reached with the back-to-back European champions to take him to Merseyside.

Liverpool Agree £110m Barcola Deal

According to DaveOCKOP, Liverpool have agreed a deal worth €128m (£110m) to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola this summer.

The two clubs have been locked in discussions over a deal, with the French side valuing their winger at around £145m initially, having used the transfers of Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers as a measuring stick.

But the player has made it clear that he wishes to leave for more regular football, and with just two years remaining on his contract at the Parc des Princes, they have now reluctantly agreed to let him leave.

It's understood that the agreement will see Liverpool pay a substantial fee up front, with more easily achievable add-ons making up the rest of the fee to help convince PSG to part ways with the forward, who has been described as 'one of the best wingers in the world'.

The agreement in principle has been reached, and now just formalities remain before formal proceedings such as a medical continue. It was reported earlier in the window that Barcola had already reached a contractual agreement with Liverpool ahead of his move.

PSG have already signed forward Maghnes Akliouche and are in talks to sign Mika Godts from Ajax, as they look to replace outgoing forwards Goncalo Ramos, Lee Kang-In and Randal Kolo Muani, who have all left permanently.

Barcola a Huge Coup for Liverpool

Barcola has established himself as one of the top wingers in world football, and he enjoyed a fine World Cup tournament as Les Bleus reached the semi-finals for a third consecutive tournament.

His performances in recent seasons have also earned praise from France and Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe, who declared it was 'inevitable' he would reach the highest level.

“It was inevitable that he would reach the highest level.”

“It was inevitable that he would reach the highest level, but he did so in his very first season in Paris. He’s really starting to establish himself with the national team. Bradley doesn’t talk much. You have to understand that. But once you do, you know he’s a great guy."
