FC Barcelona has officially opened its new office in Miami, which will become the club’s new operational hub in the Americas, relocating the headquarters that had previously carried out this role from New York. The opening ceremony was attended by Bryan Bachner, FC Barcelona’s Managing Director Americas and took place at One Biscayne Tower, the building that will house the new corporate headquarters in the city. More than 200 leading figures from Miami’s social, business, and political communities attended the event.FC Barcelona’s Miami office occupies 225 square meters in one of the city’s most iconic and recognizable buildings. The space has been designed as a highly functional facility that can be transformed within minutes to accommodate a wide range of activities and events. This move reflects the club’s commitment to adapting its international structure to the evolution of key strategic markets while strengthening its proximity to fans, sponsors and business partners across the Americas. Located in downtown Miami, the new headquarters will serve as the central hub for managing FC Barcelona’s commercial assets in the region, as well as identifying new business opportunities and driving the growth of the Barça brand.“The opening of this new office is a strategic decision for the club, as Miami has become one of the major football hubs in the United States and represents an extraordinary opportunity to continue expanding our global presence” explained FC Barcelona President Rafa Yuste. “This new office will allow us to take Barça even closer to the thousands of fans we have throughout the Americas and continue developing new experiences and collaboration opportunities.”The new headquarters builds on the work begun by the club in New York in 2016, when FC Barcelona opened its first office in the United States with the objective of strengthening its international expansion and enhancing its commercial activity in one of the world’s most important markets. Over the years, the New York office has played a key role in developing the Barça brand in North America and consolidating the club’s institutional and commercial relationships across the region, particularly in Latin America. The decision to relocate commercial operations to Miami comes at a time when the city is enjoying significant international momentum, having established itself as a major business and sports hub, particularly in the context of football’s growth in the United States and the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.The Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) has played a central role in attracting FC Barcelona's commercial operations to the urban core, providing the institutional support and resources needed for the club to establish and grow its presence in the district through its business incentive program. The agreement positions both organizations to collaborate on elevating the Barça brand across the Americas while reinforcing downtown Miami's profile as a hub for international commerce.“Through our business incentive program, the Miami DDA works to ensure that downtown Miami remains competitive as a destination for world-class organizations,” said Miami DDA CEO and Executive Director Christina Crespi. “FC Barcelona’s relocation to our district will bring long-term economic and cultural benefits for the community and underscores the continued evolution of downtown Miami as a destination for international business.”Strong Connection with United States and the AmericasFC Barcelona’s history with the United States and the Americas dates to 1937, when the team became an ambassador for the Spanish Republic and the Government of Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War.In the United States, that relationship has grown steadily through numerous visits by the men’s and women’s senior football squads and the men’s basketball team. Today, FC Barcelona operates two Barça Academy Pro centers (Miami and New York), one Barça Academy Residency (Arizona), and four Barça Academies (Chicago, Carolinas, Hoover, and Austin), in addition to 15 official supporters’ clubs (penyes) and thousands of followers across its many social media platforms. Beyond the United States, the club also operates two Barça Academies in Mexico City and Querétaro, a Barça Academy Residency in Querétaro, and a Barça Academy in the Dominican Republic.US Barça Foundation: Building a Long-Term LegacyThe FC Barcelona’s new office in Miami will also serve as the headquarters of the US Barça Foundation, established in 2024 with the aim of developing initiatives that benefit children and young people at risk of social exclusion in various cities across the United States. The US Barça Foundation launched its first project in 2024 in the South Bronx neighborhood of New York City, with the objective of using football as a tool for social inclusion for vulnerable adolescents aged 10 to 14 living in the area. Its second programme, developed in May under the name “Goals That Matter, Legacies That Last” and in collaboration with the organization Fútbol con Corazón USA (FCC), focuses on transforming the lives of socially and family-vulnerable boys and girls in Miami-Dade County. The Barça Foundation in the United States uses sport as a tool for social transformation to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children and young people, while promoting the values that define FC Barcelona and reinforce its motto, “More than a Club.”About the Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA)
