The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a detailed public transport, parking and traffic plan for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) Qualifier 1 at the National Stadium, Karachi.

The high-stakes clash between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will be played later today and will be the first playoff game of the tournament to feature crowd attendance.

In line with the government’s push to reduce fuel consumption, fans have been strongly encouraged to use public transport, and special services have been arranged across Karachi to help spectators reach the venue.

Under the transport plan, several services will drop fans directly at the stadium gate. These include the Red Bus (R3) running between Liaquatabad and Shahrah-e-Faisal, the Electric Bus (EV-3) operating between Numaish and Safoora, and coaches on the D-1, D-11 and 7-Star routes connecting Malir and Liaquatabad. In addition, bus routes 51 and 55 will run between Malir and Numaish.

The board has also identified services that will drop passengers near the stadium on University Road. These include G-3, G-7, F-11 and S-2 routes, along with the Super Hassan Zai coach service.

For entry into the stadium, the main entrance will remain on the Karsaz side, while Gates 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be used on the east side and Gates 11, 12, 13 and 14 on the west side.

A separate parking guide has been issued for private vehicles. Fans coming from Karsaz Road, Millennium Mall and New Town have been directed to use Stadium Road and proceed to the designated parking area at the National Coaching Centre and China Ground.

The traffic plan says Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open, but parking on main roads and service roads will not be allowed. Authorities have asked fans to avoid roadside parking and use only the designated parking spaces.

According to the route advisory, vehicles approaching from Karsaz should move past the Stadium Flyover and park near the National Coaching Centre/China Ground on Sir Shah Suleman Road.

Those coming from the Millennium side have been told to use Stadium Road, descend from the flyover, take the turn toward Sir Shah Suleman Road and head to the same parking area. Spectators arriving from New Town have been advised to use the route after the Aga Khan Hospital underpass and park at the designated site.

Meanwhile, heavy traffic will be barred on multiple surrounding routes, including Sohrab Goth to NIPA, Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square, B.P. Chorangi to University Road, Karsaz to Stadium, Millennium to New Town, and Stadium Signal to Hassan Square.

Traffic police have asked the public to cooperate and follow the issued directions to avoid congestion around the stadium.
