Morgan Riddle, Taylor Fritz break up: Reports

T he biggest couple in tennis has reportedly called it quits, with Morgan Riddle posting photos that hint towards the end of her six-year-long relationship with US tennis player Taylor Fritz.

Riddle, 28, posted a series of photos on Instagram that seem to indicate that she is grieving and moving on to a new chapter.

The most obvious sign was a snap of the influencer wearing a shirt that labelled herself the "World's Best Ex-Girlfriend" .

Not only does this hint towards her relationship status, but it could also be a riff on one of her best-known titles, "The most famous woman in men's tennis", which she was bestowed by The New York Times in a 2023 interview with Fritz.

She also shared a picture of stacks of boxes in an empty apartment, and a number of quotes seeming to do with breaking up and moving on.

One was a shot of the inside of a train with the words "The next stop is" flashing on the notification board.

Another read, "I'm you from the future and I have wonderful news. Everything is about to change," while a sign on the side of a restaurant read, "You can cry in here!"

One photo showed her doing just that, resting a crystal on her forehead. She also included snaps of herself roaming around New York City, attending dinners and spending time with friends.

The post itself was captioned, "is this thing on? ", alluding to her speaking into a microphone to make the announcement that she had broken up with Fritz.

Riddle's close friend commented, "historic fumble" , saying that the end of the relationship was Fritz's loss.

Costeen Hatzi, former partner of Aussie tennis player Nick Kyrgios simply commented, "❤️❤️❤️" in solidarity.

One fan said, "Sorry girl. You'll be missed at tennis tournaments but I'll still be following."

"Tennis lost a real one," another commented.

One fan assured her, "Ohhh yall about to be thriving 🔥❤️"

Many outlets have reported on the breakup, with sources confirming it to People and Us Weekly, though the pair themselves have not said anything officially.

Riddle and Fritz began dating in June 2020 after matching on the exclusive dating app Raya.

Though she didn't know much about tennis at first, she soon took to the sport and decided to use her platform to educate outsiders and "make tennis cool again" and share it with the younger generation.

She was mocked and criticised for this take, but Fritz defended her, and the pair travelled around the world to different tennis events like Wimbledon, the US and Australian Opens to build their profile over the course of their relationship.
