Ronaldo sparks fresh wedding rumors with matching diamond rings

Photos captured the couple boarding a yacht with friends on Friday. What caught the attention of fans and the media was the Portuguese superstar wearing a large diamond ring on his ring finger, which is traditionally reserved for wedding or engagement bands, The Sun reported.

Rodriguez was also seen wearing the engagement ring Ronaldo proposed to her with last year. The sight of both wearing diamond rings on their ring fingers quickly fueled rumors that a wedding might be coming soon.

Previously, a viral but unverified wedding invitation circulated online, suggesting the couple was planning a ceremony for Saturday at the Quinta da Regaleira estate in Sintra, Portugal.

However, these rumors were debunked. Sources close to the couple denied the reports, and the Spanish newspaper HOLA confirmed that the Quinta da Regaleira estate remained open to the public on Saturday and was scheduled to host an evening musical performance, making a private wedding highly unlikely.

The couple has chosen to remain silent amid the wave of speculation.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez began dating in 2016 after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid, where she was working. They share five children, co-parenting Ronaldo's children from previous arrangements alongside their two biological children.

The couple have been engaged since August last year. The engagement ring Ronaldo gifted Rodriguez is estimated to be worth between $2 million and $10 million, featuring an oval-cut central diamond.

Ronaldo has previously spoken openly about his desire to marry Rodriguez. In an interview, he stated: "I'm going to marry her because I believe it's the right time. Not just because she's the mother of my children, but because she's the person I love most."
