The summer window has taken another huge twist as Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all work to get deals done before the transfer deadline. The Gunners have been given hope in their pursuit of Bradley Barcola, with the Reds reportedly ready to abandon talks, amid interest in Julian Alvarez and Iliman Ndiaye. Jules Kounde has emerged as a defender target along with Ezri Konsa.

Myles Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Chelsea and Man Utd following Bruno Guimaraes's move to the Gunners, firmly throwing the versatile defender's future into doubt. Man Utd want a left-back, having also been linked with Lewis Hall, David Raum, Antonee Robinson and Jorge Salinas. Chelsea could announce the signing of Pep Chavarria today, and believe Manchester City are interested in Enzo Fernandez.

Tottenham still have both Cody Gakpo and Savinho at the top of their wishlist for the remainder of the window, and are set to sell Cristian Romero to Atletico Madrid, while Inter Milan are back in for Djed Spence. Omar Marmoush, Florin Balogun and Georges Mikautadze have also been linked. Liverpool may move on from their Barcola interest after growing frustrated during talks. Chelsea set Delap and Jackson price tags

Chelsea will not sell Liam Delap for less than £50m this summer, according to the Athletic.

The striker has not made the desired impact since moving from Ipswich last summer for £30m, but the Blues are still looking to make a profit if they sanction his departure in the transfer window.

He is nonetheless expected to depart alongside Nicolas Jackson, who is reportedly priced at £65m.

Crystal Palace starlet closing in on exit

Club Brugge are close to agreeing a deal to sign Crystal Palace’s Romain Esse.

The 21-year-old spent some of last season on loan at Coventry, scoring twice in 17 appearances as the Sky Blues won promotion to the top flight.

He has struggled to make an impact at Palace since signing from Millwall, though, and the door has been left open for him to depart despite still having four years to run on his contract.

Per Football Insider, the player is hpoing to kickstart his career in Belgium.

Ex-Chelsea star joins Orient

Alfie Gilchrist has joined Leyton Orient on a season-long loan from West Bromwich Albion.

The 22-year-old defender is a product of Chelsea’s academy and made 17 first-team appearances before departing last year.

Brentford reopen Diouf talks

Brentford have reopened talks with West Ham over a move for El Hadji Malick Diouf.

The Bees had enquired about the player last month but were beaten back, with the Irons insisting they have no interest in selling.

Brentford have reignited their interest, though, and talks are ongoing despite a gulf in the two clubs’ valuation.

Arsenal show interest in Kounde

Arsenal have expressed an interest in Barcelona defender Jules Kounde.

Per reports in AS, the Blaugrana are open to a sale and the Gunners are monitoring the player’s situation.

Kounde signed a new five-year contract in August 2025 and seems keen to stay in Barcelona.

Mikel Arteta, however, is a big fan.

Villa in Palhinha talks

Aston Villa remain in talks to sign Joao Palhinha after Tottenham decided against making his loan move permanent.

The 31-year-old has since returned to Bayern Munich, where he is not said to be in the club’s plans.

Per The Athletic, the Bavarians want to secure a fee of €30m (£25.6m).

Kalvin Phillips rejoins the Blades

Man City have agreed a deal for Kalvin Phillips to rejoin Sheffield United on loan.

The out-of-favour midfielder spent the second half of last season at Bramall Lane, making three league appearances, and per Fabrizio Romano is set to head back to Sheffield this season on another loan.

He has two years left to run on his City contract.
